I wanna be a vampire! :)

I altered this notebook with the Love, Elsie line...I like the way it turned out I will need to put pictures up soon. I have another notebook I am making to list books I have read (I love making lists and just writing in general).
And I also recieved my red velvet project kit...yay! I can not wait to get started on that.
I started and finished, "The Hanged Man," by Fracesca Lia Block. The worst FLB book so far but still not bad.
Okay, so I love vampires and here is my try at a vampire poem (now don't steal it since it is so good, just kidding):
You are the night
that i shall fear to see
when out comes the light
but i forgetby then you need disappear
and i am left wondering, standing here
your eyes so shell like and vacant
and your skin ice cold
you look so young
but your knowledge speaks so old
do you really thirst for my blood?
or do you run in fear of this love?

yay (crochet)...they rhyme

I am happy... Today my aunt taught me how to crochet. It is kind of easy but I do have a couple of things I need to work on.
I am thinking about taking my yarn and hook on my trip to Germany since it will probably be long. Along with that, I plan on taking sudoku, a couple of books, notebook and my laptop... should keep me busy.
I finished reading "Violet & Claire," last night... was pretty good. So far "Echo," has been my favorite Block book. Next I believe I am reading, "The Hanged Man," then onto the Weetzie Bat books.
I still do not have an exact date of when I am leaving to Germany but knowing it is soon is so relieving and exciting and sad all at one time!
Hope all is well with whoever is reading this.

Books, Books and More Books

Okay, so I started reading this book, "Breathe," by Sophie Anne and yeah, I finished it in one sitting! It was pretty darn good. It started off slow but then got me real interested. Basically about a girl who kills someone and it is her writing about it in prison and what led up to it. I recommend it!

I am now reading, "Violet and Claire," by Francesca Lia Block... i love FLB so it should be good!

I talked to the love of my life today. Supposely I should be able to go to Germany in less than a week that is IF i can get my mother to sign off on my stuff being shipped which means I need a POA paper for it.

Her and Laura (my sister/bf) are going to Seattle on June 29 for the Little People of America convention! They are coming back on July 5. My mom and sister want to say bye to me and of course, I feel the same. I am hoping I can leave before then rather than after. I want to be with my husband, ASAP!! This 8 months have been so hard. I can not imagine if he deploys but I know I can deal with it, as i have. Scrapbooking, writing and reading-my three reliefs.

I wanted to go to the LPA convention to learn more about my neice's condition and talk to some other dwarfs. I know, no matter what, though my neice will always be deeply loved-besides being a little person-there is just something special, that noone can pinpoint, about her. But she has a lot of adoring fans . .. that is her at the top of this entry!

i promise this is not about me

yeah, so my first poem i post has to be depressing and about suicide... oh well that is what i usually write best (though i will post some love poems).

sacrifice
i slice a line into my skin
watch the blood
as it comes from within
i slice deep to hit the vein
i pray for my end to come
never again to feel this pain
i am my own sacrifice
sticks and stones
will break my bones
and your words
they have always hurt me
blade and knife
will end this life
and your words
they will desert me

Can't get enough kits!

Yay I am so excited... Story of my own kits had an opening for this month so of course, I bought a subscription! They come with a set of stamps every month and look how cute those road trip ones are!! Def. a good value! Since I am moving to Germany, supposely there are no real arts/crafts store. I am hoping redvelvet art will start subscriptions (on their project ones) when I get to Germany and if I have enough money, i am so on it.
The good thing about being in the military is hardly any bills-my car, insurance for my Billy's car, phone/internet bill and a credit card bill... besides groceries that is not a lot when you add it up. But I would rather him not be in it because then I would have seen him these past 8 months!! :(
I do have a shopping problem-with scrapbooking stuff and lately, also books (it used to be CDs). I really want to travel so I hope because I want to travel and buy scrap stuff I do not get us in trouble.
Oh and I finished, "The Memory Keeper's Daughter," it was pretty good... i recommend it. I am not sure if I should start reading another book. I gotta finishing packing (maybe only two more boxes of stuff) and if i start reading... luckily, my scrapbook stuff is packed away so that is one less distraction.

I love scrapbooking!

My sister and my neice at my wedding... i used all colorblok paper, prima flowers and the chipboard photo corners were making memories.

Both of the above were done with Rhonna Farrer's line...they are pictures of my beautiful neice!

Germany!

Hello all (whomever that may be, seeing that I am a new blogger.) I created this blog to share my thoughts and of course my scrapbook work. Seeing that I do not have a 12 x 12 scanner, i use a digi camera and boy am I bad at catching the glare!

Germany is calling my name...just two weeks or so and i will be there, most importantly seeing my husband... after being apart for almost 8 months, we need this. I can finally be a real wife. Cleaning, cooking and all.

The layout I posted was made using Marah Johnson's lovestruck paper and transparency. The rose is from making memories vintage findings. The lace was from Joanns and the studs, who knows.

I have been really addicted to monthly kits lately, some of the best i have found are: amillionmemories , poppyink, redvelvetart, storyofmylife and storyofmyown. I just ordered the redvelvetart June project kit and cannot wait to recieve it... i would love to make me an art journal.
